Meet Our Staff

Laura Yañez

Laura is from Eastern North Carolina, where she obtained her associate degree in criminal justice from Pitt Community College. After graduating with her B.S. in Criminology, she worked as a Deputy Clerk of Superior Court for Pitt County and was assigned as a criminal superior courtroom clerk. Laura is our civil legal assistant and has extensive knowledge of legal processes and is well-versed in the rules of court.

Clark Jones

Clark was raised in Kinston, North Carolina, and is the first Polynesian (Tongan) attorney sworn into the courts of Eastern North Carolina. At 19, he moved to Argentina and became fluent in Spanish, with proficiency in legal writing. As a proud graduate of Arendell Parrott Academy, he went on to earn his B.S. in Family Community Services from East Carolina University in December 2016 and his J.D. from J. Reuben Clark Law School – Brigham Young University in December 2019. He has been actively practicing law since August 2020. His wife, Mallory, is a Greenville native, and they have two young children together. Clark takes cases to help and better the lives of the people in eastern North Carolina. It is an honor for him to provide legal representation to people in need, and knowing that he has a positive impact gives him great satisfaction in the work he does.

Yazmin Beltran

Yazmin is a criminal legal assistant and personal injury case manager at our law firm in Greenville, North Carolina. Originally from Washington, NC, Yazmin has called Greenville home for the past eight years while pursuing her associate degree in criminal justice at Pitt Community College. She brings her education and experience in the legal field, having worked in the industry since 2021. Yazmin plays a vital role assisting with criminal and personal injury cases. She is also bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish. Yazmin is a notary public, allowing her to provide additional services to clients.
